SSOMA Adult Programs

SSOMA fitness classes are offered in sessions. Listed below are descriptions of a few of the upcoming programs.

(Programs are subject to cancel based on student enrollment.)

Intro to Shotokan
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 
     (w/ GI )           

This program is for beginner students 18 years and older. Each class will focus on the three main aspects of Shotokan which are kata , kumite (sparring) , and kihon (basics).

You will learn traditional techniques and train towards a higher ranking belt.

Saturdays: 7:45-9:00 am

This class is taught by a world cup champion, instructor Alex Paulo Silva. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting.

Tuesdays: 7:30-8:30 pm





  This high intensity class teaches basic kickboxing moves using bag work, focus pad work, light sparring and other choreographed routines.

ZUMBA fitness

    Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away! We want you to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked! You will achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Healer and Body-worker on call Jill Furumoto


With a background in Music Therapy,Counseling and Massage. Jill has worked in the field of therapy for over ten years and has applied her skills and training towards helping people reduce symptoms of pain, anxiety, depression and trauma. The aim of her work is to empower individuals to improve their quality of life by eliciting the relaxation response during massage treatments and guided meditation with music. In doing this, clients learn to calm body and mind and integrate relaxation and into a life long wellness strategy.

    Our personal trainers specialize in weight loss and body recomposition using old-school training techniques and long-term lifestyle changes to promote a healthy, lean physique.
